The Mission of the Malverne Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in Malverne by protecting the lives and property of its citizens using modern law enforcement methods.

 

The Police Department pledges to enforce the law aggressively and impartially, respecting the dignity of each individual; preserve the peace; work in partnership with the community to reduce crime and the fear of crime; and render our services with courtesy and civility. Malverne Police Reserve

The mission of the Police Reserve is to establish a trained unit of volunteers to serve as the "eyes and ears" of the Malverne Police Department and to provide such services that enhance the safety and quality of life for the residents of the Village of Malverne.

 

The Malverne Police Reserve was created by Local Law in 1958 and has been serving the Village of Malverne ever since. Police Reserve Officers under the Chief of Police of the Malverne Police Department are trained to act as "additional eyes and ears" of the Malverne Police Department.
