Bringing the Big Screen Back to Malverne

The Mayor, Village Board, and the Malverne Chamber of Commerce were proud to stand with hundreds of passionate residents this week in support of saving the Malverne Cinema and Art Center - a historic landmark and heart of our downtown.

Thanks to the incredible grassroots efforts of Malverne’s own Nick Hudson (E2AC) and Lynbrook’s Maria Dente-Higgins (Dante’s Dreamers), a powerful movement is underway to reopen @themalverne as a nonprofit arts center, bringing film, live performances, and community events back to our neighborhood.

We are excited and proud to support this mission and inspired by the energy and love shown by our neighbors. The Malverne Cinema isn’t just a building - it’s the nucleus of our downtown, and with continued community support and grassroots fundraising efforts, its lights will shine once more.
